Communicating your Research to Non-Academic Audiences

This workshop will highlight the most important “how tos” of science communication and social mobilization, touching on the areas of presentation skills and improvisation, blogging, podcasting, and twitter. Run by some of the best in the field- Drs. Jeff Dunn, Estrid Jakobsen, and Elizabeth Dupre. Short presentations will be followed by a panel discussion and an interactive workshop focused on communicating your research!

Develop your skills to:

  1. Articulate your science to any audience comfortably

  2. Write about your research to a non-expert audience

  3. Utilize social media to empower your research and the scientific community
