If you attended our VAST Conference this May, you would have had the chance to hear about this project - if not, we're happy to catch you up!
We're working on developing a series of YouTube videos about vascular cognitive impairment - we are doing this in collaboration with the CCNA EPLED group.
Three of our wonderful summer trainees, Chloe Oleksiuk, Ioana Diana Abalasei, and Marie Biard, spent a lot of time last summer putting together systematic searches on all available VCI-related YouTube videos in both English and French. This has provided us with a lot of information about what is missing and what is needed in terms of VCI education/awareness. In order to finish this project and publish the results, we need to formally rate and confirm the accuracy of the video content. There is about 2225 min of English videos and 2030 min of French videos to go through (70 hours of video). That is a lot!
That's why we need help from our amazing VCI network. We're hosting a Hackathon to review the video content! We'll be using two widely used rating scales for this purpose, which you will learn more about - the PEMAT-A/V and the DISCERN tools.
On top of the amazing comradery and fun you'll have collaborating with your VCI colleagues, you can also look forward to:
PRIZES for highest number of minutes viewed and rated!
Co-authorship on the resulting publication!
During the hackathon, we'll first spend some time going over the project, the rating scales, and we'll go over some examples together. Then - we'll hack our way through the video content! We'll all stay online for a while so any questions or uncertainties can be answered, but we might not finish all of the ratings in this time frame.
