We’re looking forward to hearing from you!

Apply to the VAST Platform Patient and Care Partner Advisory Council (PCP-AC) today.

The Vascular Training (VAST) Platform is a Canada-wide community united by a shared vision of creating better brain health by finding solutions to prevent or treat vascular cognitive impairment (VCI). Researchers within this community aim to engage with people with lived experience of VCI to enhance the research that they conduct.

Your Role

As a member of  Patient and Care Partner Advisory Council (PCP-AC) possible ways to be engaged could include:

  • Collaborating with researchers to inform how best to engage people with lived experience of VCI in research

  • Providing input on research questions and study designs

  • Assisting with communicating knowledge, research results, and the lived experience to members of the public

We ask that you commit to a minimum of quarterly meetings each year. Additional optional meetings may be coordinated if new opportunities for engagement arise. Members will be compensated for time spent preparing for and attending meetings.

Who Can Apply?

We encourage anyone with lived experience of dementia or stroke to apply. This includes friends, family, and caregivers supporting individuals affected by VCI.

Our goal is to develop a diverse community, including those from under-represented groups, rural areas, and bilingual speakers. The work of the PCP-AC will be conducted in English.
