VAST Conference 2024: May 29-31 2024, Banff, AB

The 2024 Vascular Training (VAST) Conference is being held at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in Banff, AB. The main event will begin with an evening reception on May 29, followed by two days of sessions including research talks, debates, discussions, and workshops specific to vascular cognitive impairment and dementia (VCID) and professional development. Two pre-sessions will be held May 28 (afternoon) and May 29 (morning) in Calgary at the University of Calgary Foothills campus.

Sessions include:

  • Educational pre-session May 28 - image segmentation workshop (in Calgary)

  • Educational pre-session May 29 - trainee project presentations with people with lived experience (in Calgary, application and acceptance required)

  • Welcome reception May 29 (evening, Banff Centre)

  • An amazing keynote speaker, Dr. Donna Wilcock, Editor in Chief at Alzheimer’s & Dementia

  • Full day of sessions May 30 and 31:

    • Clinical Practice and Emerging Treatments for VCID

    • Neuropsychiatric Syndromes and VCID

    • Biomarkers of VCID

    • AI and Bioinformatics in VCID Research

    • Conventional and Unconventional Avenues to Securing Funding

    • Improving Research Impact

Important Dates:

  • Early registration and abstract submission will open December 1, 2023.

  • Abstract submission deadline: January 26, 2024.

  • Early registration deadline: March 15, 2024.

  • Final registration deadline: April 26, 2024.
