Vision

Our vision is a well-trained and growing workforce, representative of the communities it serves, creating better brain health by finding solutions to prevent or treat VCI.

Our Vascular Training (VAST) Platform provides training, mentorship, and experiential learning opportunities for diverse trainees seeking to acquire interdisciplinary skills in sectors related to Vascular Cognitive Impairment (VCI).

The VAST Platform’s online content (seminars, workshops, modules), mentorship program, and experiential learning opportunities are openly accessible to all. However, those receiving stipends from VAST (VAST Scholars) are given priority for mentorship and collaborative opportunities.

A certificate of completion will be awarded to VAST trainees who register for and complete the VAST learning program on RISE. To receive a certificate of completion, trainees must participate in the following:

  1. Attendance at a minimum of 5 VAST seminars,

  2. Participation in a minimum of 1 VAST skills workshop,

  3. Participation in the VAST mentorship program (Jan-Dec),

  4. Presentation during a VAST journal club,

  5. Attendance and presentation at the annual VAST conference.
