Curriculum Streams

Online learning curriculum streams will be focused on:

  1. Professional development and research skills: modules on equity, diversity, and inclusion in research; science communication; knowledge translation; patient engagement; peer review; statistics

  2. Imaging technologies: focus on methods and analysis specific to VCI, and their application in clinical trials

  3. Clinical experience: focus on diagnostic criteria, neuromodulation, neuropsychology, clinical trials, cognitive rehabilitation, patient experience, and risk factors

  4. Neurobiology: focus on animal/tissue models, biomarkers, molecular targets, genetic risk factors

  5. AI and Bioinformatics/omics: focus on the use of computational approaches to answer questions related to VCI specific biomarkers, clinical trials, and risk factors

  6. Population health: focus on social determinants of VCI, prevention, disparities, health services, patient experience, and risk factors

The Rise Platform

VAST has partnered with RISE (Raising Interdisciplinary Scientist Excellence). RISE is a free social learning environment that provides scientific and professional development training. VAST online modules will be available via the RISE platform.
